iGowise Mobility has opened applications for dealer partners under its Franchise Owned, Franchise Operated (FOFO) model. The move comes as its flagship BE iGO X4 rugged utility vehicle (RUV) gets ready to start customer deliveries this Diwali.
Most utility three-wheelers on Indian roads are low-speed models. They carry good payloads but become unstable when cornering on uneven, potholed roads. The BE iGO X4 is built to solve that. Its proprietary anti-topple tilting system lets it lean into corners with confidence, while twin rear wheels give it the road grip and carrying capacity of a three-wheeler. It adds dual-wheel drive with 120 Nm of torque, triple-disc combined braking, a rugged space-frame underbody and iChargeWise rapid home charging. The vehicle is CMVR-certified high-speed registered model with ultra durable LFP packs that are certified under AIS-156 test standards.
For dealers, the company has designed a compact 800 sq.ft experience-centre format needing a total investment of about INR 15–20 lakh, including stock and working capital. A flagship 1,800 sq.ft showroom format is available for high-demand city-centre locations. Dealers earn a 10% margin on every vehicle, rising to 15% with volume. Company estimates show a compact outlet selling 20 vehicles a month can recover its investment in about 16 months.
“We are not looking at dealerships merely as sales outlets; we see our dealer partners as an extension of the iGowise ecosystem,” said Sravan Appana, Founder & CEO, iGowise Mobility. “The BE iGO X4 gives delivery riders, small traders and families a vehicle that is as stable as it is useful. That is a new category our partners can build with us from the ground up. We want partners who know their local markets and want to grow with a fully Indian-engineered product.”
A dealership model built around partner profitability
iGowise Mobility is onboarding dealers selectively rather than chasing rapid network growth. Applicants will be evaluated on local market knowledge, automobile industry experience, operating capability and their ability to deliver a high-quality customer experience. The dealer proposition includes:
-
Compact entry: an 800 sq.ft outlet from about Rs. 18 lakh total investment, with a flagship 1,800 sq.ft format for city-centre locations
-
Margins: 10% on every vehicle, rising to 11% above 20 vehicles a month and 12% above 30
-
Lead and launch support: structured lead generation plus co-funded local marketing for the first six months
-
Stock support: channel-finance tie-ups so dealers do not fund their full inventory upfront
-
Buy-back: a defined buy-back of unsold stock through the company’s MDL [expand MDL] model
-
District exclusivity: Super Dealers and Master Distributors can secure exclusivity across up to five districts
-
Growth partnership: early access to new markets and products as the network expands
A company-operated option for investment partners
Alongside FOFO, iGowise Mobility is opening a Franchise Owned, Company Operated (FOCO) option for investors who want to take part in India’s EV retail growth without running day-to-day operations. The partner funds and owns the outlet, while iGowise Mobility recruits, trains and manages the team to brand standards. Partners receive a priority share of store earnings ahead of the company’s operating fee. The model is structured to target an IRR of 24% or more at steady-state volumes. Returns depend on outlet performance, and full terms are shared with shortlisted partners.
Experience centres designed for the whole family
The company’s retail outlets are designed as experience centres that make EV discovery and purchase easy for the whole family, with particular attention to women and elderly riders, who benefit most from the vehicle’s anti-topple stability. At-home test rides will let customers try the BE iGO X4 in familiar surroundings, and outlets will commit to fast service turnaround times.
Three-phase expansion
-
Phase 1, next six months: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai and Panaji
-
Phase 2: regional expansion across South and Central India
-
Phase 3: a pan-India network, while evaluating select international markets including Kenya and Nigeria
Applications are open to automobile dealership operators, mobility entrepreneurs, distributors and established business owners, with priority for Bengaluru and Hyderabad. As India’s EV market moves from early adoption to mainstream use, iGowise Mobility sees its partner-led network as the fastest way to bring a new kind of vehicle to the customers who need it most.
