eOxigen Automotive: India’s First R&D Company with Focus on Prototyping and EV Development

eOxigen Automotive is improvising the ecosystem of last mile delivery by improving facilities for GIG workers, with battery swapping on individual loaning of EVs, thus helping reduce lease burden on GIG Workers. eOxigen also focuses on service and repairs to help improvise on serviceability of last mile EVs, says Sujoy Chourasia, Founder & Managing Director, eOxigen Automotive Pvt. Ltd. in an interview with EVolution Auto India.

 

Q: Tell us a bit about your company along with the milestones achieved.

Sujoy Chourasia: eOxigen Automotive Pvt. Ltd. is a company started in 2019 (just before COVID) and has a very encouraging journey, where it started from a service repairs training company, which has trained more than 12000 roadside mechanics to shift from ICE vehicle servicing to EV servicing across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, UP, Haryana and Delhi. eOxigen Automotive became a Design Company and delivered custom-built electric two wheelers to JVK Motors, where it delivered a formal ICAT vehicle. It started its own factory in 2025 and has grossed more than 5 crores in its first year of factory operations. It helps integrate swappable batteries and facilitates GIG Workers in last mile by enabling banks and improving their lives.

Q: What key innovation are you presenting this year, and how does it address current industry challenges?

Sujoy Chourasia: We are improvising the ecosystem of last mile delivery by improving facilities for GIG workers, with battery swapping on individual loaning of EVs, thus helping reduce lease burden on GIG Workers. eOxigen also focuses on service and repairs to help improvise on serviceability of these last mile EVs. We provide this via our franchising network.

Q: How do you see the Indian automotive ecosystem evolving in the next five years, especially in terms of green mobility? What role will your company play in this vision?

Sujoy Chourasia: eOxigen Automotive works in the field of electric two-wheelers and we find that this segment will expand by huge leap and bound, we are committed and dedicated to adopting of environment positive EV ecosystem hence contributing to promoting last mile pollution emission reduction.

Q: Are there any strategic partnerships—either domestic or international—that have helped strengthen your position in the market?

Sujoy Chourasia: We are vertically integrating EV imports, indigenisation of EV spares and parts improvising the performance of EV’s along with improving their serviceability and improvising the loanability of GIG workers to make them solopreneurs, hence increasing their ability to earn better and improve their lives.

Q: What is your future roadmap?

Sujoy Chourasia: eOxigen Automotive would be engaging towards a solar-operated charging station; hence, completing the entire cycle of genuine renewable electricity charging the EV, and reducing pollution to actual net-zero emission.

eOxigen also plans to engage in recycling to help reduce the pressure on raw resources especially on rare earths like Lithium, Neodymium and other rare earth materials. eOxigen Automotive has entered the field of EV manufacturing, service and repairs.
