The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) proudly announces the launch of the pilot edition of Spazio Italia, a dedicated Italian technology pavilion, at the EV Tech India Expo & Auto Tech Asia 2026, being held from 17–19 April 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Positioned under the broader “Make in India with Italy” initiative, Spazio Italia represents a strategic platform aimed at strengthening the presence of advanced Italian technologies in India’s rapidly evolving electric mobility and manufacturing ecosystem. The initiative fosters meaningful engagement between Italian technology providers and Indian stakeholders, supporting industrial growth, innovation, and sustainability.
Designed as a curated and institutionally driven platform, Spazio Italia goes beyond a traditional exhibition format by enabling structured interactions between Italian companies and Indian OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, policymakers, research institutions, academia, and start-ups. The pavilion serves as a dynamic hub to facilitate business collaborations, technology transfer, and long-term industrial partnerships aligned with India’s Make in India vision.
Spazio Italia showcases cutting-edge innovations across key segments of the EV and manufacturing value chain, including electric mobility solutions, advanced automation, precision manufacturing, and smart mobility technologies. The platform enables direct engagement and collaboration opportunities between Italian innovators and Indian industry leaders.
H.E. Antonio Bartoli, Ambassador of Italy to India, stated, “Spazio Italia, Italy’s first Country Pavilion at the EV Tech India & Auto Tech Asia EV Show in Delhi, stands as a clear testament to a shared ambition between Italy and India: to build stronger, long-term industrial partnerships that translate cooperation into concrete and sustainable outcomes.
Italy’s strengths in automotive design, advanced manufacturing and automation, and high-value, cutting-edge technologies combine with India’s manufacturing scale and ambitious electric mobility targets.
From electric vehicle technologies to battery thermal management, from power electronics to electric powertrains, Italian companies are ready to act as reliable and forward-looking partners. Driven by innovation, high-tech expertise, and R&D, our industries can unlock competitive synergies and jointly shape the future of sustainable and intelligent mobility.”
The President, IICCI, remarked, “Spazio Italia is a testament to IICCI’s continued commitment to strengthening bilateral economic ties between India and Italy. By promoting collaboration in advanced manufacturing and electric mobility, we aim to contribute meaningfully to India’s industrial transformation and sustainability goals.”
Claudio Maffioletti, CEO & Secretary General, IICCI, added, “Through Spazio Italia, IICCI is creating a structured and impactful platform that enables Italian companies to engage directly with the Indian market. This initiative not only showcases innovation but also facilitates tangible partnerships, technology exchange, and long-term industrial cooperation.”
India’s electric mobility sector is rapidly evolving, driven by the need for advanced technologies, efficient manufacturing, and sustainable solutions. Spazio Italia serves as an ideal platform for the Indian market to explore and engage with Italy’s innovative industrial ecosystem, fostering meaningful collaboration and technology exchange.
The initiative is part of a broader multi-phase engagement that will extend beyond the April showcase. Throughout 2026, Spazio Italia will continue through technical workshops, pilot projects, industry-academia collaborations, and targeted B2B matchmaking initiatives.
These efforts are aimed at delivering measurable outcomes, including partnerships, technology adoption, and localized manufacturing collaborations.
Spazio Italia also reflects IICCI’s long-standing role as a facilitator of bilateral trade, investment, and technology exchange between India and Italy. By positioning Italy as a key partner in India’s industrial and technological advancement, the initiative strengthens the foundation for sustained economic cooperation between the two countries.
