Leading EV charging solutions provider Thunderplus announced the launch of its first fast-charging station at National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) one of the Navaratnas in the country building the modern Indian infrastructure through its special campaign of sustainable mining. In collaboration with ThunderPlus, NMDC launched the first EV Charging station at their corporate office premises, Hyderabad.
This strategic move will mark an important step in advancing India’s EV infrastructure and furthering the country’s move toward sustainable transportation.
The newly inaugurated Thunderplus charging station at NMDC will be equipped with the latest fast-charging technology, ensuring effortless and efficient charging for electric vehicle users. With the growing need for EV charging solutions, this facility will take a significant stride in promoting clean mobility while curbing carbon emissions.
The charging station was inaugurated by B Mohan Kumar, Executive Director works in the august presence of other dignitaries. He commended the speed of the ThunderPlus team in developing the dedicated charging station along with the complete CPO support.
He expressed gratitude, stating, “We sincerely thank Rajeev YSR and the entire Thunderplus team for bringing this initiative to NMDC. This collaboration marks a significant step in promoting sustainable mobility and ensuring a cleaner future for all. This is just the beginning of many such facilities to come up in all other NMDC locations. Thus adding responsible transportation as a new thesis to our existing responsible mining.

In fact, we have developed solutions, which can generate power based on methanol and ethanol instantaneously up to 400kwh which can be further used to charge electric cars, trucks and other vehicles. This completely makes the charging station independent of the grid and make its accessible to the mining areas where grid connectivity could be a concern.
