Statiq and Hyundai’s first public fast charging station is now operational at BSR Mall, Chennai. Apparently, the charging station is equipped with a 60 kW DC charger and provides amenities including a food court, movie theatre and coffee shop.
Statiq is one of the leading providers of electric vehicle charging solutions in India. In continuation to make sustainable mobility a reality in India, the company has recently installed more than 55 new EV chargers across 34 cities spanning 13 states in the country. The widespread presence of these chargers will facilitate hassle-free inter-city EV travel, thus fostering the adoption of electric vehicles as a sustainable means of transportation.
Last month, Statiq joined hands with Hyundai and other top Charge Point Operators (CPOs) such as ChargeMOD, and GLIDA to enhance the EV charging sector through interoperability.
Meanwhile, Hyundai had announced that it would set up 100 fast public EV charging stations at key highways and cities across Tamil Nadu.
