India’s only indigenous alkaline electrolyzer manufacturer Greenzo Energy has secured a major EPC project to develop a 120 MW ground-mounted solar project in Nepal. Valued at INR 500 crore, this project is part of the commitment to strengthening clean energy infrastructure in South Asia and plays a key role in advancing Nepal’s renewable energy ambitions.
The project, set for phased completion by 2025, will be structured across 12 clusters, each with a 10 MW solar installation. The infrastructure will be fully ground-mounted, with the development of an advanced high-tension transmission line to connect directly to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) grid. The surplus power generated by these installations will be evacuated back to the national grid, ensuring an optimized, sustainable energy flow that boosts grid stability and supports broader energy access.
Greenzo will serve as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC ) provider, bringing its expertise in large scale solar projects to this cross-border initiative.
Commenting on this project, Sandeep Agarwal, the Managing Director of Greenzo Energy India Limited, stated “We are excited to commence this ambitious project as it marks a significant step in our journey to advance sustainable energy infrastructure and strengthen cross-border energy partnerships. With the Letter of Credit secured and work underway on site, we’re fully committed to delivering each phase of the project with precision and transparency. Through this undertaking, we aim to empower innovation and progress through our green energy solutions, support Nepal’s environmental goals, and place India on the world map as a leader in the renewable energy segment. We’re confident that this project will set a benchmark for solar projects while creating long-term economic and environmental value for all involved stakeholders.”
Kushal Agarwal, Executive Director of Greenzo Energy, added, “We look forward to executing this prestigious project with our decades of operational expertise. This order is more than a business milestone for us, it’s a shared vision for a cleaner, greener South Asia. Our long-standing collaboration with Nepalese stakeholders will enable us to deliver robust, community-centered benefits through this project, enhancing Greenzo’s presence as a leader in the global clean energy sector.”
