Zelio E-Mobility, a rapidly expanding electric two and three-wheeler manufacturer that has been doubling its growth year over year, is preparing to operationalize its fourth manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The upcoming plant, spanning approximately 39,000 sq. ft., will be utilized for the assembly of electric scooters, storage, logistics, and allied business activities. Operational setup of the facility is expected to commence in April 2026, with commercial operations projected to begin by July 2026.
“South India represents a key growth corridor for Zelio, with rising demand for electric mobility and strong market potential,” said Kunal Arya, Managing Director of Zelio E-Mobility. “The Coimbatore facility is a strategic step to strengthen our manufacturing footprint in the region, streamline our supply chain, and support the expansion of our dealer network. It will help us deliver our electric mobility solutions faster and more efficiently while accelerating the adoption of sustainable transportation.”
Zelio E-Mobility’s pan-India manufacturing network is well-established, with the Ladwa Plant in Haryana, spread over 2,63,450 sq. ft.; the Patan Plant in Haryana, covering 2,52,301 sq. ft.; and the Cuttack Plant in Odisha, approximately 30,500 sq. ft., all supporting production, assembly, and regional operations.
This follows Zelio E-Mobility raising ₹78.34 crore through its IPO, comprising a fresh issue of ₹58.84 crore and an offer for sale of 11.4 lakh shares worth ₹15.50 crore. The issue was subscribed 1.5 times overall, with strong participation from both institutional and retail investors. The company’s shares debuted at ₹154.90 on October 8, 2025, at a 13.9 percent premium over the issue price, and have continued to maintain an upward trajectory since listing. In its first reporting cycle following an SME IPO, the BSE-listed EV manufacturer reported consolidated revenue of ₹134.78 crore and a profit after tax of ₹11.87 crore for H1 FY26.
Zelio offers one of the most comprehensive product portfolios in the segment. Under the ‘Zelio’ brand, it manufactures a wide range of electric two-wheelers, including low-speed models such as X Men, X Men 2.0, Gracy i, Gracy+, Gracy Pro, Little Gracy, Eeva, Eeva ZX+, Legender, and the Logix cargo scooter, along with its high-speed model Mystery. In the three-wheeler category, the company produces e-rickshaw models under the ‘Tanga’ brand, including Tanga Butterfly and Tanga Fine, catering to the growing commercial and last-mile mobility market.
