In a landmark moment for India’s clean mobility journey, the battery manufacturing company of Kinetic India – Range-X, has rolled out its very first Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery from the production line at its state-of-the-art Ahilya Nagar facility.
This inaugural rollout is especially significant as the new Range-X LFP battery will power the recently launched Kinetic DX EV, Kinetic India’s flagship electric two-wheeler. Certified under AIS 156 standards, the battery represents the perfect balance of safety, durability, and sustainability, setting new benchmarks for India’s EV ecosystem.
Built on stable lithium-ion cell chemistry, the Range-X LFP batteries are designed to be “Longer, Safer & Superior.” Equipped with a smart Battery Management System (BMS), they optimise performance, extend lifecycle, and ensure consistent reliability, making them ideal for Kinetic DX as well as electric two- and three-wheelers across India.
Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman, Kinetic India said, “These first batteries rolling off our production line represent more than just a milestone for Range-X, they signify the backbone of the Kinetic DX EV and the next wave of clean mobility in India. With AIS 156 certification, Range-X delivers on its promise of combining durability, safety, and sustainability in every battery we produce.”
The Ahilya Nagar facility, equipped with a fully automated, IoT-enabled production line, POKE-YOKE systems, and stage-wise inspections, ensures each battery meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.
With this milestone, Range-X is poised to serve the rapidly growing demand for electric two- and three-wheelers, with the Kinetic DX EV leading the way as the first vehicle to be powered by these advanced, eco-conscious batteries.
