KYORO+ by Terra Motors: Driving Leadership in India’s Electric Mobility

KYORO+ is built to offer the best value in a price-sensitive market. With a competitive on-road price of INR 3.65 lakh and a zero down payment option through Terra Finance, it is affordable and accessible for drivers. Some brands may offer good financing but with a higher on-road price, while others provide a lower price but demand a high down payment or offer a limited warranty. However, KYORO+ is a complete package in this segment in price, performance, and service, says Go Suzuki, Managing Director, Terra Motors India in an interview with EVolution Auto India.

Q:  What inspired the development of this particular model, and how does it align with Terra Motor’s broader EV vision?

Go Suzuki: India’s three-wheeler market is set to reach USD 4 billion by 2029. After gaining traction in the low-speed EV segment, we saw untapped potential in the high-speed category for urban markets. KYORO+ marks a strategic step that helps Terra Motors move closer to its vision of offering efficient, high-performance EVs in India.

Q: India’s three-wheeler market is both competitive and essential for last-mile mobility. What specific needs does KYORO+ address for Indian consumers and drivers?

Q: What were the major design and engineering considerations that went into developing KYORO+ for the Indian market, especially in terms of battery life, load capacity, and cost-efficiency?

Go Suzuki: KYORO+ was engineered with a focus on real-world performance. It offers generous seating with ample legroom for a comfortable ride. With 22 percent gradeability and a top speed of 55 km/h, KYORO+ is equipped to handle varied terrains. The 200 km range supports long-distance usage, while fast charging from 0–80 percent ensures minimal downtime. These features help KYORO+ balance cost-efficiency with real-world utility, making it ideal for daily commercial operations.

Q: Are there plans to integrate Terra Charge’s charging infrastructure with the rollout of KYORO+ to create a more unified Terra ecosystem in India?

Go Suzuki: Yes, Terra Charge is fully aligned with the rollout of KYORO+. We actively support the setup of EV charging infrastructure at dealerships and public locations to ensure seamless charging access. This integration helps build a unified Terra ecosystem, making ownership and daily operation more convenient for customers.

Q: What are your short- and long-term goals for Terra Motors, and what excites you most about the future of clean mobility?

Go Suzuki: Our goal is to establish 100 dealerships across India for our L5 category, ensuring wider access to sustainable mobility. In the long term, we aim to become the No.1 brand in both the L5 and overall three-wheeler market. What excites us most is our larger mission—to reduce pollution and create a better future through clean mobility. As we work towards this vision, we believe India has the potential to become a global role model in leading the transition toward greener transportation.
