Green Frontier Capital Tops Global Climate50 as Public’s Favourite VC- The Only Indian Firm in 2024 Rankings

Green Frontier Capital, India’s foremost early-stage climate venture fund, has been ranked the #1 Public’s Favourite VC globally in the 2024 Climate50 list emerging as the only Indian firm among the world’s top 50 climate-focused venture capital funds.

Selected from a competitive field of 288 global funds overseeing more than USD 539 billion in assets, Green Frontier’s top placement underscores its growing influence at the intersection of innovation, climate, and emerging markets. The firm was also ranked #28 overall globally and #5 among Emerging Fund Managers, further establishing its leadership among next-generation climate investors.

Green Frontier Capital is one of only two firms from the Asia-Pacific region in this year’s Climate50 alongside Singapore’s Temasek highlighting its distinctive role in amplifying climate innovation from the Global South to the global stage.

“This honour speaks not only to the trust the public has placed in our work, but to a larger shift the world is increasingly looking to India and the Global South for climate leadership,” said Sandiip Bhammer, Founder and Managing Partner of Green Frontier Capital. “We are proud to be at the forefront of this transformation, supporting entrepreneurs whose innovations have the potential to redefine our collective climate future.”

The Climate50 recognition reflects Green Frontier Capital’s unique focus on catalyzing early-stage climate solutions across high-impact sectors such as clean mobility, sustainable agriculture, food systems, and next-generation decarbonization technologies. Its cross-border presence enables the firm to bridge Indian ingenuity with global networks, capital, and scale.

As climate challenges intensify, Green Frontier Capital’s recognition affirms a powerful truth: the future of climate innovation is being written not just in the global capitals of finance—but in the emerging economies charting their own bold and scalable climate transitions.
