From Mandaps to Motors, Lord Ganesha seems to have found a new home on Lanzante’s hypercar amid Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. British automotive company Lanzante Limited unveiled its first hypercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2025. Surprisingly, the car, called the 95-59, carries a logo featuring Lord Ganesha, which is now making rounds on Facebook and other social media channels.
Designed by stylist Paul Howse, the Lanzante 95-59 has a three-seat central driving position and a glass roof with power from an 850 hp twin-turbo V8, wrapped in a lightweight carbon-fiber body. As per the source, only 59 cars would be manufactured, making it a rare collection among car enthusiasts with prices starting at EUR 1.38 mn. The car is touted to be inspired by the McLaren F1. Sources also suggest that The Beatles’ George Harrison, with his deep affinity for Indian spirituality, urged Lanzante’s founder, Paul Lanzante, to adopt Ganesha as the company’s logo. A design rooted in friendship and culture, Ganesha embodies prosperity, aligning with the engineering breakthroughs of Lanzante.
From paying homage to Lanzante’s storied victory at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans in a McLaren F1 GTR bearing the number 59 to debuting with a hypercar proudly crowned with Ganesha, Lanzante is making headlines for all good reasons. However, no credible sources or news reports currently link Lanzante to any electric vehicle project, disappointing EV fans!
