Q: Earlier this year, Socomec launched superior efficiency UPS Delphys XM. What are the key features and advantages of Delphys XM?
Meenu Singhal: Earlier this year, we introduced the Delphys XM UPS, setting a new standard in high-efficiency power protection. This advanced system delivers up to 800 kVA/kW in an ultra-compact 0.8 m² footprint, offering unmatched power density.Its Energy Saver Mode optimizes efficiency even at low loads, achieving up to 99 percent efficiency in Smart Conversion Mode and 97.1 percent in online double conversion. The modular design simplifies maintenance and reduces system complexity, while intrinsic redundancy enhances uptime and reliability. Delphys XM is highly adaptable, supporting both lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, and offers flexible top or bottom cable entry to suit diverse installation requirements.
Fully compliant with EN/IEC 62040-1, EN/IEC 62040-2, and EN/IEC 62040-3 standards for safety and performance, Delphys XM is purpose-built for modern data centers and mission-critical infrastructure. It helps reduce total cost of ownership while ensuring secure, efficient, and continuous power availability.
Q: Finally, what’s your outlook for India’s renewable energy market over the next 3–5 years, and where does Socomec see itself in this transformation?
Meenu Singhal: The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has reported robust progress in India’s clean energy sector for the Financial Year 2024–25. With a record annual capacity addition of 29.52 GW, the total installed renewable energy (RE) capacity in the country has reached 220.10 GW as of March 31, 2025, up from 198.75 GW in the previous fiscal. This performance reflects India’s steady advancement towards the target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based capacity by 2030.
