Bluebird Solar has installed a 1.7 MW rooftop solar project at Veekay Polycoats Ltd. in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan. This system is expected to generate approximately 2.448 GWh of energy annually, utilizing a combination of Bluebird 400Wp Mono PERC and 550Wp Mono Half-Cut PV modules.
This ambitious project was executed following meticulous planning and extensive research. The 1.7 MW capacity solar PV power system was designed to maximize energy production while ensuring safety and efficiency. The system generates DC electric power, which is then converted into grid-compliant AC voltage by 11 on-grid inverters, making it suitable for feeding into the utility grid system.
The rooftop solar installation spans an area of 16,800 m², ensuring optimal use of available space. The combination of 400W Mono PERC and 550W Mono Half-Cut modules ensures high efficiency and energy yield. The installation includes robust safety measures such as handrails, safety lines, walkways, earthing systems, and lightning arresters to protect the infrastructure and personnel.
Talking about the development, Akshay Mittal, Director of Bluebird Solar, said, “The successful execution of the 1.7 MW rooftop solar project at Veekay Polycoats Ltd. marks a significant milestone in our journey towards promoting sustainable energy solutions. This project was meticulously planned and executed to ensure maximum energy production and safety. We are proud to have partnered with Veekay Polycoats, a leader in their industry, to demonstrate the potential of solar energy in reducing operational costs and carbon footprints. This installation is not just a technological achievement but a testament to our commitment to a greener future.”
Abhay Mittal, Director of Bluebird Solar, added, “Our team at Bluebird Solar is thrilled to have completed this ambitious 1.7 MW rooftop solar project. The project involved extensive research and planning to integrate high-efficiency 400Wp Mono PERC and 550Wp Mono Half-Cut PV modules. By generating approximately 2.448 GWh of clean energy annually, this system significantly contributes to sustainability goals. This project exemplifies how industrial units can adopt renewable energy to create a positive environmental impact. We hope this inspires other corporates to follow suit and embrace solar power for a sustainable tomorrow.”
The primary objective of this solar power project was to encourage the use of green energy for running the operations of Veekay Polycoats Ltd. By leveraging solar power, the company aims to significantly reduce its carbon footprint and operational costs, while also setting a benchmark for sustainability in the manufacturing sector. This initiative aligns with global efforts to promote renewable energy and combat climate change.
This project is a shining example of how industrial units can adopt clean and green solar power to create a sustainable environment. By generating 2.448 GWh of clean energy per year, Veekay Polycoats Ltd. is contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on fossil fuels. The project aims to inspire other corporates to embrace solar power, thereby supporting the broader goal of a sustainable future.
